I had the pleasure of testing out some ammo from Green Mountain Custom Ammuntion at an IDPA match today. I shot both the match and some plates with it and found this ammo to be as high (if not HIGHER quality than the “factory” fodder I use). EXCELLENT new brass, properly seated primers and a good crimp. I used the 230 gr ball and it fed with no issues in the Para GI Expert. Plates fell, IDPA cardboard was well holed (hey, I even shot a few stages fast and clean!).
Overall Impressions:
-Very high quality loads
-Clean burning
-No excessive muzzle flash
-Power/recoil seemed “normal”
Would I buy this ammo and use it? YES
